Crashes

Anyone else experiencing crashes during gameplay? My system is above and beyond the minimum for the game, and I’ve reinstalled the game, and DX11. Usually the game will crash about 10 turns into any game I play, and will crash with a variety of actions. Are there any fixes for the crashes I’m having?

Mine just started doing this as well. Been playing a saved game and every time I reload it, after 5 minutes of playing (single player) it just freezes/hangs. Never done this before.

I'm having Problems aswell but not certain if its the same as your's. During gameplay the game crashes on me like every 15 turns. :/

It keeps freezing or crashing on me, happening more and more. I'll be playing 10 minutes or so and it will give me an error and crash, or it will just randomly freeze.

i also have this problem. When i played on intel hd graphics 2500 i havent this problem, but as soon as I set a discrete card GeForce 8800 GTS this problem appeared

Same here, its random as well, sometimes the game can last 1 min, or it can last 10 mins. Alot of people have also been reporting this problem it seems

It started like this for me one week ago. And since 5 days i cant even start the game. I have been in contact with steam-support everyday and done everything they said. then they just forward me to Civs support. I tried delete the game twice and re-install but it does not help. And also try to install without Steam. Not possible. They really have very bad and long support. I dont understand why I just cant play my game i bought from the disc without this CRAPPY STEAM. I will never buy a game online again. Or a game that needs a steam-login. It is ♥♥♥♥. I understand why people download for free instead.

Do you think it could have anything to do with Steam? Mine also started crashing a few days ago after an update... Beforehand not a single crash at all for hours of play. Any suggestions?

I have the same card, the GeForce 8800 GTS, and the same problem. I get the FXGRenderer error. Anyone found a fix? It's horribly annoying to buy a game for X amount of money and have it not working. -.-

mine crashes regularly but the screen goes bright red then restarts my laptop, this has only started happening since the steam update

I'm having the same issue. I get between 10-16 turns. I am running the fully updated Steam client, all the latest patches for Civ5 with Gods and Kings installed.

I play in DirectX 11 mode. on Windows 8 64-bit.

All settings maxed out.
