$60 to upgrade Civ 5 to GOTY Civ 5? WTF?
Why does it cost the same amount $60 USD to upgrade Civ 5 to the GOTY edition that it does to cost the full GOTY edition? Isn't that like smacking the face of those of us who alreadfy paid $60 for the full Non-GOTY version? Don't know who is responisble, Steam or Firaxis, but when I find out who, theyt are going on my "pissed off at" list.

Calm down and check things out. If you look at the Civ V store page (where both versions and DLC are listed) you'll see the upgrade is exactly $20.00, the difference between the GOTY and standard versions.

Yep, on the store's home page it lists $60 (for new customers), but on the Civ V game page it is $20 to upgrade

@Marioface5

Well, it's not my fault that it shows the incorrect price on the main Steam store front. It says "Upgrade Civilization V to Civilization 5 Game of The Year" and directly under that it says $59.99 When I click the image it just takes me to the store page for the full priced $60 upgrade. No mention of having to go to the default Civ 5 orginal page. Most other products on Steam smartly take you to the main web page for the product, not this time. So I don't think I was unjustified in thinking the upgrade price was $60. But thank you for the clarification.

How about for those of us who only want the soundtrack and already own every single piece of DLC. I think we have a right to be pissed off.

just do a few internet searches and im sure you could find the soundtrack.

The fact is most of the updates should have been free but they are too money whoring. I myself still have the vanilla version and use the vanilla update mod (Great mod). Makes the game way more fun and personally I'm going to put that $20 towards another good game rather then a meh DLC.

It's both! The market for Civ5 is monopolistic, so Firaxis can charge through the roof for any Civ game they please, while Steam, also needing to make a profit, has to raise the price even more to make a decent profit! If you live in any Western country, you should know this by now!
