VI forums.
Thanks!!!, but I do believe that people from here has try VI, but from VI not all of them, so if you are here probably is because you have already try VI... hahaha... I don't know if I understand what I have already wrote.. but maybe just maybe you can understand it better than me
If price is an obstacle you can get the complete Civ IV bundle pretty cheaply when it goes on sale. V rarely goes on sale but VI goes on sale frequently.
Thanks!!!
otherwise, civ5 all the way!
I liked Civ3, but now prefer Civ5 to that. The enormous mod library makes V endlessly replayable.
Civ6 is "OK", but doesn't hold my interest; do not care for the cartoon Leaders.
I started the series with Civ3 and bought the anthology that included Civ1 and Civ2. However, not having played those early versions when they came out, I found them too "archaic" to enjoy = spoiled by III and IV = No nostalgia factor
Do not waste your money behind Civ-VI. They are already dumping it at 90% discount, might even lure you with 95% or free later.
It is not just the game and particularly it's AI that is a mess but the whole attitude of the developers towards that one.
Almost, every month they released an update adding leaders, whether you needed it or not.
While it could have been a welcome gesture but almost every update broke the game.
The last one broke the ambient background music (which was really good) and saved files which were using mods.
You can check just the top 30 general discussions on Civ-VI forums, including the pinned ones.
Civ-V for me is the best, go for complete edition, there are many scenarios as well.
It might coast you just $8-$10 even on official key shops because since eight months, Steam hasn't put it on sale because it wants to peddle Civ VI.
Even Civ IV is a good option.
If you have a decent budget, buy both Civ IV and V, just that Civ IV will not have hexagon tiles and a little dated graphics. It will give you much much better experience than buying what they are trying to peddle.
Civilization V Complete Edition is already out.
On Steam store, they are still selling the game in parts without discount. (I have already explained the probable reason for it)
I purchased one from Amazon last September because I wanted G&K and BNW and it didn't make sense to buy both separately. The complete edition had them both and all official scenarios and DLCs.
It is on all official key-stores as well as on 2k website.
Since @Rolo is from Chile as he has put in his profile, just check whether you are buying the global key or your region's key. Europe probably has separate keys.
If you care about graphics V, deeper game IV.
I played V and VI as well. 1st advice - buy any of it only with DLCs.
In vanilla mode both versions are garbage. For V one must have Brave New World & Gods and Kings DLCs. And VI is playable only with Rise and Fall & Gathering Storm.
Those DLCs not only add new mechanics, but also significantly improve AI. In default versions AI plays very very VERY dumb...
Also i can more recommend V for network game vs other players. U can find lobby more easily and there are far less leavers than in VI. As for me I absolutely stopped playing VI by network, cuz it's unstable (practically every game start desynching) and leavers spoil each lobby.
But VI is much more entertaining in cities developement. U have to plan ur cities and its districts from early game. Also governors and weather events make game much more interesting and give additional opportunities (for example u can settle near active volcano and ur city will grow fast without any tile improvement).
So Civ V is much better in playing by net vs other ppl, and VI one much more interesting in solo vs ai. Of cuz it's only my opinion - better check also some Youtube-content. For VI i like 2 watch PotatoMcWhiskey, cuz he explains every move he makes and is pretty fun.
GL in ur purchase =)
Thanks!!
So that could be back to the 90's!!! with better graphics?
Perfect, DLC's.. I hate them... I rather pay a bit more but with all in...but just a bit
