Quick combat, but animated Nukes?

Is this possibly to set up somehow? Quick combat is nice n all, but I like to see those nukes go off

just press f10 to go into strategic mode which has no unit animations.

You can disable quick combat during game via game settings, that way you can drop the nuke and then reactivate quick combat. That's what I usually do.
