neither of them have brave new world, if you want it you have to buy it separately.

wait.. so i have to buy civ V gold.. and then buy brave new world as well?

Brave New World is a seperate expansion to Civ V, you don't get it in gold edition or standard edition. But in gold edition, you basically get every other dlc...which is a lot of content.

yes, civ V gold has only the first expansion (gods and kings) and some new leaders, scenarios and maps, but they are not necessary, if you want to get all the new mechanics you should get normal civ V+brave new world, cause this latest expansion adds the new mechanics that were introduced in gods and kings like religion without you actually having to buy gods and kings, getting gods and kings will just add more leaders and optional stuff.

So if you have the money I suggest you get civ V gold+brave new world, otherwize get normal civ V+brave new world.

Civ 5 gold is good but definetly purchase brave new world as well

I realize that its only an extra $5 to buy it, but does the gold edition content make a big difference in the quality of the gameplay for Civ V? I'm new to turn-based games and am considering getting the base version to see if I likey. I imagine the upgrade will go on sale again later, but I would get the gold edition now if the expansion and DLC made a significant impact on the playing experience.

I've not purchased Brave New World yet, I bought Civ V Gold however and I'm perfectly happy with it because I like the scenarios and leaders etc. Is Brave New World worth the full price or should I wait until it's like half price ? Also, is the content actually good ?

the biggest impact in gameplay is by far the new expansion brave new world, it adds a ton of stuff that was missing since the release of civ V and makes the game a lot more fun, every other piece of content is more optional stuff that just adds more options like new civs with different modifiers, new maps some scenarios that are like small little campaigns with designated objectives.

Brave new world is 66% off right now, and I strongly suggest that you get it, it's almost like a complete overhaul to the game (mostly mid to lategame though).

just add civ gold and brave new world to you shopping cart and buy it, then it will start downloading all the content that you have purchased in one step, you don't need to do anything separately.

I don't see Mongol Gengis Khan DLC in Gold Edition despite I have it in my list of DLC for Civ5, any explanation?

Mmmm ok thank you (and your elephant memory!). I wonder what happen in case of upgrade to gold which would be for onle one or two DLC.

I have been one those those few idiot/misguided buyers of the G&K extension without to notice the upgrade. Now the upgrade is cheap enough to make me wonder.

EDIT: Nevermind I was wrong I have all those listed in gold plus one ie Mongol and one I don't know what it is, no need of gold edition. So now either I buy the DLC BNW either I wait for the Ultimate Final editon and hope for an upgrapde path. Yeah I still haven't really start play it because I found the large view/zoom out aful giving somthing with a total lack of clarity, but was wondering of another attempt with BNW.
