Won't download
it gets to around 2.2gb and then says it can't download and has some corrupt files and I've done this and reset a few times

How do you do to download it? I just can't download, it says IN LIBRARY Sid Meier's Civilization V - Gods and Kings is already in your Steam library but there isn't nothing to download.. and yes, I have Civ 5, do you have it too?

I am having the same issue. At around 50%, the download with fail due to some corrupt files.

I have the complete edition which I bought yesterday . I just go to the base game and click install . Goes through the motions and when it hits 2gb it decides to stop

My download is now going again, sometimes stopping for short periods. Will update when complete.

How do you guys do to even install Gods? It doesn't have this option here

I think it installs dlc automatically.

Yes, all DLC for Civ V including 2 big expansions (Gods & Kings and Brave New World) are installed automatically. It may be a temporary issue regarding Steam servers, they're under heavy load these days.

To get past the "needs update" or corrupt file issue, try the following:

Run the game to attempt to update
You'll probably get a corrupt file error (if not, grats)
Go back to your download and turn OFF auto update
Restart your download again

I've managed to get past the part I kept getting hung up on by doing this. Hope it helps, and Happy New Year!
