should i get complete edition or what version?
hello! the sale on civ 5 is 75% off and i am wondering wethering to should i buy the complete adition as it costs less than civ 5 and civ 5 bnw which is the new brave world and is 100% better than base game but not standalone put together, so should i buy that for that reason and the fact that it has all the other bonuses aswell?

Civ V Complete Edition will also give you the extra civs in all the DLC's which I personally think is the better way of doing it.

so what you're saying is that if i bought the game and the expansion i will have wasted my money because i could have just spent it on the complete which has both everything and is cheaper than those 2 things combined? genius

seriously though? am i making the right choice of considering the complete edition instead of civ5+BNW?

Go with the complete edition. You get everything in it for under $13.00 USD, it's a complete steal.

so it is 75% off and is better than buying civ 5 + bnw because it's lower than both combined?

There are DLCs you will have to buy separately if you want to play as some of the other civs in the game. Spain and the Incas for example come in their own DLC. If you buy Civ V + BNW, you will NOT be able to play as them (as well as various other DLC civs). If you buy the Complete Edition, you will have all the civs.
It's really a matter of how much you care about playing as those extra civs you get. As well as the Ancient Wonders DLC and a few other nice things.

All in all, but the Complete Edition, it's better and you won't miss out on things which will be more expensive to buy separately in the longer term.

EDIT: Also, Complete Edition is $3 more than just the base game...........

is this the complete edition forever or will they add more that i will have to rebuy again? that would be awkward >_< but thank you anyways and i think i will buy it...

alright, i just bought it the complete edition, it comes with everything + is cheaper than bnw and civ 5 combined, i bought it and i only see civ 5 it doesn't say complete edition but i think it has it when i go to the dlc tab in the properties... THANKS GUYS!!! and i hope i have fun... any strategies for early game? i played the demo for 36 hours and when i got the game the demo was replaced but idk and in the demo i wasn't that good like when should i start expanding and what things should i build first?

This is the most complete version of the game at this juncture. If more expansions are released later, you will have to decide whether you want them or not. For example, there are the two latest map DLCs out that I don't have and don't really intend to get because they're real world maps that I don't tend to play with.

As for strategies... start playing the game and find out for yourself. The advisors in-game are pretty helpful.

A basic guideline for the start of the game is to build a scout, monument, worker in that order. If you have barbarian problems feel free to buy an archer. When your city hits 4 population build your first settler, you will want at least 3 cities though 4-5 tends to be best if you can keep your happiness up and you could have far more if you take them from other civs though again, watch that happiness.
For your first social policy go tradition and complete that tree. When it becomes available also get rationalism, those two social policies are the big ones though when you are more experienced you could go with liberty instead of tradition.
For research just look for where the science boosting techs are and push for those when they are near, writing, education, etc. After a few games you will have a feel for what techs are important and what ones can be neglected for awhile.

I bought the full game a while ago and don't have any of the dlc. I'd like to get all the dlc in this purchase but will end up with another copy of civ 5 for no reason. I'd rather not purchase the main game again but I'd like to get all the dlc, are there any ways around this?

You will not get an extra copy of the game, just everything you are missing. For the price it's not a bad deal for all the dlc and expansions.
