Marathon speed OCC (Once City Challenge) game with Gandhi on Huge Archipelago map (I think I was playing vanilla version of the game then). I won a culture victory after about +1300 turns. It took me over a week in real life to complete that game. Each turn took about 5min to complete in the end (despite I had a very powerful computer), because of 12 AIs and their huge number of units.

I had also the longest war ever on that game, I had a war against Alexander for well over 1000 turns, because he didn't want to negotiage peace (because of my laughable army). His cities were located on the other side of the map, so I could not attack him... with my two units. He didn't attack me either, not even once.

My longest game was like 2 years ago on a Giant Earth map on Marathon with Mongolia. It was almost 700 turns long!

I right now am playing with the Arab on marathon and well it's over 1500 turns. I have been playing this match for 20 somthing hours. it's also my first game so that kinda tells why I only have 20 somthing hours into the game. I really do enjoy it though.

Played on epic, went over the course of 3 days but really about 16hours of actual play time over the weekend. Played as Songhai and toook over middle east, india, north africa and was pushing into china and russia at the same time cuz I had so much damn money and units and was fastest in tech. Just got plain bored so I just retired the game.

The only true joy from long matches is because of having a short "history" for your civ actually happen. youll think about earlier in the week how that one major war in 1300bc decided if your small city state would survive to continue the test of time and maybe somewhere alone the line you met a civ who was very friendly and traded generously with you allowing you to bring your economy into the green allowing the ability to field a larger military and conquer lands and get an empire and so on.

I've played a 22 player marathon game on hotseat all the way to the turn limit. No idea how long it took, but I'm guessing it was several hundred hours.

I play on either Marathon or Epic... i like the longer games! Although Marathon your waiting for Research and Wonders to complete, for ever... but plenty of time to actually use the troops of ea generation of upgrades, and a chance to strategise with each army you build up...

I've gone 900+ turns playing as.... Songhai of Africa peeps... I won the game on domination around Atomic, before Nukes were developed... this was on G&K only, no BNW.

Probably 1000+.... even 1.2k-1.5k I'm guessing... that's a long one! I always play on marathon, like I mentioned, but mine never seem to go passed 1000... i don't think! by then i'm just trying to finish, so I basically steam roll my army passed each city!

Turn limit or time victory in year 2050 is at turn 1500 in marathon speed, if you meant that (game speed is three times slower than standard, which ends at turn 500). My +1300 turn marathon game with Gandhi was actually a fast one, because I won almost 200 turns before the limit.

A single marathon speed game takes normally more gaming hours than most Civ V players have total hours with the game.
