I don't know if it apply to pantheon.
You can lose it actively (enemy missionaries or prophets) or by passive pressure from other cities. Passive pressure usually cause short perioid of time when your cities don't follow you pantheon anymore and don't yet follow the other religion, because either one doesn't have majority in the city. You don't have a religion, so civs with religion target your cities with their missionaries. It's only matter of time until you lose your pantheon.
Defending pantheon is hard, you need to keep 10-13 tile buffer zone between your cities and other cities (including city states) to prevent passive pressure and you need to keep your army blocking enemy missionaries and prophets. This may require army so big, that you would easily conquer your neigbours.
I won though! :)

This civilization has bonuses for their pantheon and some help to maintain their pantheon too.
So what? I don't get it.
haha... that was funny!
But, I checked out that Mod mentioned above... and it really looks like your cup of tea Defendor! I don't think I will ever go for Lithuania though... nothing against them as a nation... just against the mod!
