BNW - Theming Bonus?
I have two sets of Cartheginian Beads (My civ) housed in the Sistene Chapel. They both show as Ancient Era and yet I'm seeing +0 as the theming bonus. Is this bugged? Or is the problem that the items must have different descriptions as well?

Only Frogs know that answer:
http://civilization.wikia.com/wiki/Theming_bonus_(Civ5)

"Fill the slots with Great Works of Art from the same civilization and the same era."

(Frog here, by the way)

theming bonus is really hard... and the bonus seems so tiny...

Pretty sure you are not getting a bonus because you need "works of art" not artifacts to get it.

Yep, the Sistine chapel bonus is for works of art rather than artefacts. Wish they'd used a different icon for them.

The theming bonuses may not seem huge, Alveolate, but if you happen to get them in all your culture buildings that can be another 22 tourism from the wonders alone, equivalent to 11 great works. Add in museums and the bonus gets significant indeed.

Don't forget you could exchange your "unwanted" art with other civs...

Realy? You get 50% bonus without any other bonuses (Aesthetics, France). It is huge.

Huge, very true.
Even with the lowgrade inflicted to France...

To get theming bonuses from Artifacts you have to put them in museums. The Louvre also requires two artifacts i believe along with two works of art

It is worthwhile when combined with the other bonuses to tourism. As for getting the great works stockpile the writers/musicians for Globe Theatre and Broadway. Where you need great works from other civs either trade for them or go and capture AI cities and loot their great works.

Then you can have a city like this -

Edinburgh isn't perfect as I didn't get the Great Library or Parthenon and chose pagodas rather than cathedrals as a religious belief. I'm wondering if it is possible to get a city producing over 1,000 tourism?
