Carthaginian harbors not recognized
Hi, I'm playing as the Carthaginians who have free harbors in every city as a starting attribute. I'm playing on emperor difficulty. The problem is that I have two coastal cities which are not physically connected by water to the coastal capital. (I believe its a lake map.) These two cities are not being recognized as connected to the capital. Sucks because I am deep into this game and am holding my own...hate to start over with a different civ.

If the cities are not connected by water then your harbor will not grant a city connection.

You'll need to explore enough to connect the cities by water (which may not be possible depending on the map geography), or connect the cities by land instead.

I thought any city with a harbor automatically was connected to the capital.

Does this guide help resolve your issue? There should be a section talking about the Carthaginian UA.

I guess u were right Murgen. I built a road from the capital to the first city on that body of water and connected both cities. I have been playing all this time thinking harbors connected whether physically on the same body of water or not. Thanks for taking time to reply.
