Siam AI overpowered?
It may just be me, but EVERY match I have played with Siam as a player, they are leaps and bounds ahead of others in the score. Is there a reason for this or is it just dumb luck? I feel like I have seen this too many times for it not to be a pattern. Is it because of their unique building the Wat?

It's because they get 50% more everything from the city states. You have to steal their CS allies if you play against the Siam. You just can't let them have too many CS allies or they will have a huge advantage. Best AI opponents for the AI Siam are Mongolia, Austria, Greece and Venice. If you don't have any of those in your game you have to make sure that Siam don't have enough CS allies. If you let Siam to just build their empire in peacefully they will be strong. Wage war against them or bribe other AIs to declare war to them. Siam AI also likes to spam cities often, so you should block their expansion in the early game if you have that possibility. Don't let them grow!

Yeah I noticed how they are always spamming cities. The problem for me has been that I don't meet Siam till much later in the game. By then they have such an outrageous score that it makes it hard to pull out a victory.

I've seen Siam on top when they have no city states either. Siam is just scripted to expand like a balloon along with Russia and Shoshone. I'd say Rome AI is even harder though since it is scripted to expand and conquer.

Yep, but city states definately help them providing happiness to expand and maritime CSs provide food to all those cities. On harder difficulties happiniess or growth are not an issue to the AI, so CSs are not even needed.

As soon as I meet Siam it is usually time to start amassing my army on their doorstep, and we all know what comes after that. Rammy just annoys me so much more than any other leader it doesn't matter if he is in first place or last, he just needs to be crushed!
