Black Squares on Icons?

Hello.
I have downloaded some mods,and after I started the game,I noticed I have Some Black Squares covering alot of icons sometimes. How can I fix it?

i have this too, did you manage to find a fix? I'm also getting a crash when i try to load any previous save,still happens when i start a new game, tried just about everything. Gives me a visual c++ runtime error about requesting it to terminate in an unusual way.

Two options:
Start a game in Single Player straight from the main menu (aka without mods) and see if it happens there as well.
1) Yes, then verify your games files using Steam
2) No, then you'll have to discover which mods aren't nicely working together or are outright broken on their own.

@Lord: just verify game files.

I checked vanilla, it seemed fine.
I removed a couple of mods, and tested the game. It was just compeltely bugged from the start...I can't even explain.
Later on,I Verified game files,and tried with the same mods,and somehow,it worked.

Its not the game, when they made the mod they messed up the icon in its creation process.
