SCIENCE VICTORY NOT WORKING??

I'm new to the game and trying for my first victory. I have a ton of spaceship parts ready and near my capital. I can't build the spaceship though. I'll have one part on my capital and no new button will come up or anything. Any help?

1.) Are you sure you have built all necessary parts? You'll need 3 boosters in order to complete the spaceship.
2.) Are you sure you've added all parts to the spaceship? (click on the unit, and then there'll be the option). If they just stand around seperately, it won't work.
3.) You can't launch the spaceship if you have already won through time (after 2012) or another victory type.
4.) If I remember correctly, the spaceship has to be directly IN the city.

1. Building the SS engine as we speak. All other parts have been made.
2. I can't add any parts to the spaceship. There is no option.
3. The year is 2038. No other victory yet.
4. All parts have been in the city and no option has showed up.

Have you turned off time victory? Otherwise it won't work.

Did you build the Apollo wonder by any chance? Cause thats most likely it... ...or are you playing a senario like domination, or something of the sort?

It's now past 2050. Apollo wonder has been built, I still haven't gotten a victory. No senario.

you have to choose the spaceship part, then select its 1st command (add part to spaceship). you can only have one part on the capital at a time. it must be on the capital to use the command.

Not on tutorial. No command is showing up to add it. Maybe a bug?

Have someone already won the game? You or one of the AIs. You can't build the space ship if someone has already won or you have retired from the game and continued using "one more turn" button. Did you have time victory enabled? In that case you won/lost the game at year 2050.

I also had exactly the same problem, up until you mentioned the Apollo Project. My Apollo project never showed up. And I guess if you can't build the Apollo project, you can'tm build a spaceship....

Oh, and it's done it in two games now, so at least it's consistant.

I had this problem once but i retired in the early game to have a look at the map. Maybe that's why you cant win.

Seems to be a bug with latest expansions if you don't build apollo program in your capital
