Discovering the world is round
In all of my games, someone has discoverd that the world is round. Im just asking how do you discover it.

Send a unit East until it shows up again in the West (or vice versa). It's mostly a bragging rights thing, I don't believe there's any real benefit to it.

take a boat and simply send it around the world and discover as first player in the game a from fog of war cleared seaway

It's a hold-over from Civ 4, where discovering the world was round gave all your ships 1 extra movement point. In 5 it doesn't actually do anything.
