Resources settings
I can't find the difference between the abundant, legendary start, and strategic balance settings for resources in advanced settings. Can anyone tell me what the next two do specifically, because as far as I know abundant just makes the luxury resources become more available and easier to find.

There is a tooltip in the settings that explains both of them. Legendary Start does not change the number of resources on the map, but increases the number of resources that are at each players' starting location. This is a popular setting for OCC games. Strategic Balance guarantees you Horses, Iron and Oil within range of your starting location. This is a popular setting for MP and Domination games. Both options strongly encourage settling in place.

Abundant also increases the amount of strategic resources from every deposit. Like, on normal resources, I think the largest Coal deposit is 7, but on Abundant it becomes 10.

I thought that was happening as I had never seen iron deposits of up to 8 or 10

Could be placebo but it feels like Abundant places many "Settle here" spots on the map. I noticed many locations on the map have a large amount of concentrated rescoures, cattle, horses iron, luxuries etc up to maybe 9 Ive seen and if you settle it perfectly 1 city can get all of them.

Where as maybe default it looks pretty random, lots of 4rescources here with nothing else around, 2over here. Again could be placebo
