insanely greedy AI

Anyone else notice other civs dont mind asking you for a cup of sugar or some spices while giving you nothing, while you ask for some gems and they want almost everything you own? (example in my screen shots) really think their should be something done about this.

Are you asking for the last of that luxury resource the AI has?
Are they neutral or worse?

These are things that make them ask for more.

I hear you. They're just dandy asking for the last of a given luxury of yours with a minimal offer on their end. But if you ask for the last of one of their own luxuries, they want everything you have. It seems like the only time I can get a fair deal is when we're friendly and I ask for the last of their luxury for the last of my luxury, a fair trade, and even then it's hit or miss.

The AI never asks for your last resource unless it's trying to renew a deal that had stopped (usually due to war)

You can ask them too! If you build up your military. I had 8 units and AI had more than me, but they are afraid of me, so when i ask them to give me something, they give me something. On the down side, demanding something gives you a diplomatic penalty. :(

I also use demand as pretext for war. If i ask for something and they are not willing to give they will usually say, "You have will to take it from my dead body.". Hey, if they want it that way, that way it is. :P Weakling should be more obedient!

im actualy sick of AI spamming me trade requests for my truffles
every 2-3 turns i get requests from different civs

sheesh its worse than if i got an unusual on a public tf2 trade server
wish there was a way to block AI trade requests

That''s because there's practically no AI in this game, hence the explanations for the difficulties in which it is admitted that the CPU's cheat in order to make the game more difficult. It is what it is.
