Why lie? Even on quick speed and deity difficulty this cannot happen.
It's still not possible. Not even on Deity. 25 turns isn't enough time to research all of the techs necessary.
do you actualy know how AI works on higher difficulties?
im fairly new to this game and i already figured this out .. hell there are tons of articles describing this
AI - cheats ... they have free tech , 2x to 4x production / growth / research multipliers
within 20+ turns they already have 12-18 military units and stable gold supply
they are set to cheat on higher difficulties to compensate the lack of decision making (obviously these are just AI's not humans)
I feel quite confident that I know a lot more about how the AI works than you do. Unllike you, I'm hardly new to this game.
since even official game manuals say that AI gets huge advantage in tech research , production etc on higher difficulties
also yeah i can confirm that AI rushes with large armies early in the game
so no one is "lying" here
AI gets free techs, but not all the way up to pikes. Not even close.
well yeah sure you forgot 2 things:
1. depends on the starting era OP chosen (there is that magical thing called "setup game" that most people seem to forget about)
2. weapon upgrade from ruins exploration AI gets them too
i like how someone who has 200hrs in the game knows more about the mechanics than 3k - 5k hr veterans lol
EDIT: he might also confused pikeman with spearman (it happens)
no need to call him a liar lmao
because yeah on King and higher AI does zerg rush with 12 to 18 various units
at begining of the game especaily when you land in neighbourhood with a warmongering civ
Whatever, I'll play along.
Nope, he started in ancient era.
You also cannot upgrade units into horsemen or catapults.
i wasnt talking about these units i ws talking about pikes and
they still get catapults and horses very early in the game .. like its a big deal
both of them are first tier classical era units and AI gets huge advantages like i said:
http://civilization.wikia.com/wiki/Difficulty_level_(Civ5)
after few turns i already get pop ups "XXX has entered Classical Era" while i barely finished first ancient era tech
so my statement still stands
seriously do you know anything about the game??? or maybe you have vanila not the complete edition...
Nope. I just start up the game and leave it running in the background for a few thousand hours.
apparently yeah.. since a 200+ hr player knows more about the AI and mechanics it uses than a 3k+ "veteran"
so i guess yea you were just idling the game instead playing
We also don't know what game speed he's playing. At quick pace, maybe the AI's can have spears and catapults by turn 25, and one of them upgraded to a pike? Not sure.
Attila can come at you with horse archers pretty darn quick.
Only one upgrade per unit from ruins eliminate the change to get pikes ruins, because that would require AI to scout with spears. AI is scouting with spears often, but notice that all of those are warriors who have been upgraded to spears already, so they can't get an another upgrade. Player (human or AI) also can't get catapult or horseman upgrades from ruins (with the exception of the Hun's Battering Ram, which replaces spearman).
THe Huns could have Battering Rams and Horse Archers on turn 25 (even on standard speed), but definately not pikes, not even spears (because they don't have them). But that would require difficulty level higher than the Prince. Battering Rams are not Catapults and Horse Archers are not Horsemen, but a new player would get easily mixed up with uniques. Also Spearmen and Pikemen terms could be mixed up easily (pike is actually a spear type weapon). Maybe not lying, probably just met the Huns and not knowing exactly what is what.
