Cultural victory and a dead civ....
Why the hell is it that you have to be influential to all civs, even long long dead ones to get a cultural victory?? In my game, Alexander was killed off by the end of Medieval. Do I have to resurrect him to get a culture win now??? As if it is not hard enough. He's half the map away on another continent and his cities are held by big bullies I'm currently pissing off ><

You don't.
Either cultural victory is disabled, someone has already won, or your game is bugged, because eliminating civs means you don't have to get influential over them.

There is one other thing, have you got complete kills enabled in advanced settings, if so there will probably be a Greek unit floating round somewhere on it own; meaning they still exist in some form. I'm not sure if this counts but it is something I have come across before.

So if I already win I can't get another type of victory for the achievement? But I remember in my first game although I already won culturally I could still go ahead with domination and diplomacy.

Basically, yes. You've already won. Start a new game for the next victory type. I would say to reload an earlier save.. but odds are that save will already have your victory path on it.

If you win (science, diplomacy, etc), you can keep playing and get a domination victory too. Everything else will be disabled. I did that a lot when trying to get the Schafernator General achievement -- plus I like atomic era warfare.
