Civ 5 keeps crashing.
For some reason, Civ 5 keeps crashing on the loading screen. It plays the music, then skips, and just crashes. I've tried everything. Game files/cache, re-downloading, making it so the movie won't play, etc. I'm just not sure what the probem is. I have 250ish hours before the crash, same computer, same everything.

Hello AeroEcti, I had the same problem for Civ 5 that you are having, and I fixed it by simply clicking, "Verify Integrity Of Game Cache...". I see that you said it didn't work for you, but give it another try and tell me what happens. For anyone else having this problem, Right click Civ 5 in your Library, then click "Properties", after that go to the "Local Files" tab, then click "Verify Integrity Of Game Cache...". I hope this works for everyone else like it did for me.

Didn't work. It keeps on giving me the error "Something is causing Civilization V to crash".

First, are your drivers current? (Or did you change your drivers recently?)
zalfazar 21 AGO 2014 a las 10:12 a. m.
Just looked, all up to date. (I haven't changed anything, yet.)
Staryn 21 AGO 2014 a las 10:25 a. m.
Could you post a DXDIAG?
zalfazar 21 AGO 2014 a las 10:32 a. m.
DXDIAG? What's that and how can I acess that, and what not?

That forum is also a good place to get support for this game, as well. You might get better support there.

Sorry if this is more of what you wanted.

I tried it before, didn't work.

Hundreds of people unfortunately have this problem. 2K has yet to update the game....HOWEVER, there IS a solution. The problem is Brave New World. You need to right click civ 5 on steam, go to properties, go to DLC, then uncheck it. 2K hasn't released an update to solve the crashes relating the brave new world despite the countless emails and forum posts about the topic made by hundreds of people, so all we can do is sit back and be patient.

Well, it seems like BNW was the problem. Hopefully there is an update soon.
