Um I can't find Aluminium?
Map is the earth one. Can't find it. I have unlocked the technology that allows vehicles that use aluminium so that means its somewhere right? I just can't find it.

Even if you have a technology that lets you make a unit requiring a strategic resource doesn't mean you can see it. You need the proper technology to see it (I believe it's electricity for aluminum), though you can still trade from other civs for it.

Sometimes there's not much aluminum and you have to conserve what little you find. You can make your own (but not much) with a recycling center.

and there might be deposits on the world map that already have terrain-improvements over them, especially in the territory of AI-empires that don't have the tech to see the aluminium, making them hard to spot.

Why do you think people go for war? This is to me the best side of Civilization, the game.
Start scouting and diplomating...

later in game, you get a building that gives you two aluminum called the recycling center. however you can only buld five AT MAXIUM. however with aluminum, i noticed it appears in desert more often than anwhere else. you can also alternativley ally with city states which have a source improved.

Aluminum has no preference for the desert, but besides that this is the way to go. Find city states and ally with them, or for the sake of spaceships you can get enough through recycling centers.

Just be glad you didn't get my last multiplayer game. Continents FFA with 6 players, only 9 coal on the entire map, and one civ just so happened to have 6 of it in their capitol, with the last 3 being in a CS's territory.

But yeah, aluminum can either be as abundant as air, or scarce as anti-matter

Between coal, oil, and al, it makes the game very interesting :steamhappy:

With :Uranium: and Gandhi, even more so :steamhappy:

Have you considered a trade agreement with england?

Usually there is a little pocket of aluminum up near where Alaska is iirc. Apart from that aluminum is really rare on the earth map for some reason.
