Gifting Units To City States

Trying to gift a military unit to a City State. I can get to where the gift box icon appears but then nothing. Right click, left click. Nothing. What am I missing? The proceedure for this is..?

I tried to find an answer to this for myself before posting. I decided to keep looking, trying to self help and found this: https://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/8620/why-can-i-not-gift-any-units-to-either-city-states-or-other-players

Not sure if any of these suggestions will help but gonna go give them a try.

Yep. Followed suggestions in this link and can now gift units to a City State.

And also, you just learned how to have a discussion with yourself in a Steam thread.
