Massive unhappiness when I load save
So I started a new game yesterday and things were going well after about 5 hours play. I'd just won a war so my unhappiness was at -4 when I saved. Imagine my surprise when I loaded up tonight to find it at -50! I've played a lot of this game, over 400 hours and this has never happened to me before... Any fix for this? Or is that game hosed? And is this gonna happen with all my saved games? I did try a few other saves and they all did the same thing to varying degrees. I don't think I've EVER run a civ at more than -8, yet every save I load is over -20.

That's kind of a game breaker...

Just my new saves are affected, saves from a few months ago are fine. This sucks, afraid to start another game and have it keep doing this :(

Me neither. Using mods? Did you change anything, anything at all?

Are you playing Korean scenario or any other scenario? At least the Korean scenario is broken and all happiness from social policies are lost when the game save is loaded. That bug might be in other old vanilla scenarios too.

I've had this happen before. I ended up selling puppets to bring down the Unhappiness.

There a relatively rare bug, that used to be common, whereby it forgets to ask you if you want to puppet or annex a city when you take it. You then get no unhappiness from it, but full control as if it were annexed. Until you load your save, at which point it counts it as annexed and you get the unhappiness.

I had this happen to me once when I first got BNW. Did you recently get any overhaul dlc?
