looking for hard rts, how hard is this game?
I just betean they are billions 410% and it is nothing special, in terms of decision making, you just spam buildings and that's it.. I played civ like 10 hours, how hard is to beat hardest ai in this game ? Btw heard europa universalis has a lot of moves too, don't know this game..

If you go into this game thinking it's an RTS then it likely would be very hard indeed.

If only because it wasn't working in any way close to how you thought it would.
It's turn based, not RTS. Deity difficulty is very very very difficult. I've beaten it a few times, but only through pre planning my game heavily.
This game is not "hard" as the AI is very simple and do stupid things. Hardest difficulty settings just add more starting bonuses to AI and percentage bonuses to AI (like 50% cheaper units on hardest difficulty). This game in hardest difficulties is all about catching up AI and fighting larger armies with just few units and controlling them perfectly. Human can win against hardest AI even if they have 10 times more units. But that is the challenge... can you defend your capital with just two units (and city fire) against AI's 20 unit invasion army?

Multiplayer is totally different thing, but this game is not for MP games against random players... those games will never end properly. MP works only if you are in a group that plays together with agreed rules.

there is no rts element in singelplayer CIV 5 . its turn based.
in multiplayer there is an element of rts in combat.
watch some videos so you get an impression

First, civ is not an RTS.

That being said, there is really no RTS AI that can match humans ability to think and adapt based on ever changing conditions. Most RTS are heavily scripted to react to triggers or follow a certain predictable path.

For an RTS I still play SC:FA, but it too has to cheat to make it a challenge.
