Question about connecting cities to the capital
If you connect a city (non-capital) with another city of its kind (non-capital) that is connected to the capital by having a harbour, will the city without a harbour be connected too?

No, the answer is wrong, A city is connected to a city as long as there are transportation improvements on it like roads, railways and shipping lanes. A port is automantic when you place a city on a coast line, a harbor connects your cities to other cities that have a port with a harbor on the coastline. This is needed later in the game for Trade.

So say like you have a Capital City Rome for example, and I connected it to Paris which has a harbor, and I build the city Syndney, but it has no harbor. The city is cute off from the capital. Roads allow your units to move faster through your territary. Your capital can get resources from anywhere in your civilation as long as that town or city is connected to your trade network. One exception is if a capital city has a port with a harbor than any city that has a port with a harbor can also be connected to your caplital, but mostly capitals should be built inland, so that way they don't take damage from range weapons from every passing ship.

Than why does your long winded explanation amount to the answer being right?

If the capital city is on the coast and has a harbor, City A is down the coast, and connected by harbor, and city B is inland and connected to city A by road, than city B is connected to the trade network and thus connected to the capital city.

Like I said from before, a city must have a harbor or road or rail, besides I believe you can tell if its connected to the capital city by the trade icon that appears over the cities. Its like the US if Sacromento, CA is connected to Lake Tohoe, CA which the road network is connected to a city that is connected to a road network on the east coast. The the answer is a city doesn't have to connect directly to the capital it just has to connect to a road or ocean port harbors connect ocean ports to the trade route.

You start with telling that it's not possible in your previous post and then your last sentence is saying that you can connect to the capital by connecting to a port with a harbor.

Please get your ♥♥♥♥ together when trying to explain something. -,-
