Yea exactly, CIV 5 is a complete game where as CIV 6 is fairly new
I think Civ6 is very good, but has some bugs, it's not fully developed (needs many patches) and not complete (needs 2 big expansions and some minor DLCs), just like the other previous Civ games did.
Civ games are not simulators, they are 100% strategy games. You may laugh at the cartoon graphics, but when some leader declares war and his army starts advancing towards your land, you tremble in fear and think he is not cartoonish at all.
I'm not sure why it has to be binary (one or the other). They are all good and, thankfully, they are all different.
Everything feels slow, clunky and unfinished. You cant for instance circumnavigate the globe.
The AI want to fill every square inch of the map without a city on it with barbarians.
To top it off they are putting female leaders in the game no one has ever heard of to
appease the PC SJW's.
I didn't want to buy VI, due to all the very negitive reviews I read from here, so for 12 and change I purchased Civ V + a ton of expansion packs off of Steam.
Noticed a few changes in V over IV, but nothing I'm not able to adjust to so far. The one thing that does bug me is the 1UPT as opposed to being able to stack units as in Civ IV.
Maybe I'll give the newer version some time to develope and give it a try later down the road.
Right now, V has been enjoyable to play.
