I wish there was an undo move option
I have lost count now of how many times my unit will randomly go in the completely oposite direction of where I click. Sometimes because there is a road, even though it would take them twice as long than just going straight. It happens just infrequently enough that I forget about it, then it ruins an important move, that winds up costing me. There is nothing else in the game that rivals the level of frustration I feel watching my unit go the wrong way and not even being able to just stop them in their tracks.

Makes me want to break things.

that can be frustrating. I can't believe the number of times I clicked on the "a unit needs orders" button, ony for it to end my turn instead because it didn't refresh, or moved a unit the wrong way or a wrong unit due to the map jumping, or had a unit choose to travel into a city-states teritory because it felt like it.

Your wish is granted! I just used my powers to retroactively patch everyone's game to have an option to disable unit auto-cycling.

You're welcome.

That happens to me sometimes too and yeah it's annoying. I hate it when things don't refresh properly too and make me click the wrong thing. A few days ago I gave askia 30 gpt in the early game because it messed up.

Lmao, I would have reloaded a auto save on that one.

If clicking the wrong thing is that big an issue, then frequent quicksaves are your friend. Or just set the game to autosave every turn.

"Your offer is generous, and I accept" :=)

I had to set it to auto save every couple turns, for one thing I kept declaring war by accident(stupid boundaries), then playing Spain would settle my Conquistador by accident
in a place with NO resources.....and of late would forget to avoid a declaration of friendship
after agreeing to go to war in 10 turns.

The computer Autosaves.

It's normally set to the last 10 turns, but you can increase it if you like.
