I think that's the graphics my main laptop has, and it runs Civ V just fine -- until it overheats and I have to let it cool off a bit and restart it, but that might be because it's a slim case laptop.

I'll check tonight.

I know it won't play Civ 6.

It will run, but in a low quality. In the worst case, you can play in strategic view, which practically doesn't need a graphic card.
ok thanks :D :steamhappy:

Yes, my laptop has Intel HD Graphics 3000 and it plays Civ5 just fine, but I have the graphics turned down pretty low.

My advice is -------- never use laptops for gaming --------- (bright spectacular LED lights all around my great motto). You never know how the game will perform. I have seen games having (serious) performance problems on powerful laptops with much higher specs than the recommended for the games. ------- Laptops are useful for Facebook chat-ter only ------, in my humble opinion (bright LED lights again).

Technically it should run, but with quite low graphics and CPU speed is probably so slow in that old laptop that turns will take ages. Some players have played the game even with HD2000.
Some benchamarks with HD3000: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6dRSDHzsdo

There has been some problems that HD3000 users have had, so it seems that it works, but you need the corrects drivers or you will get issues. Some players have had rendering issues with that chip (spread out textures).

Also, only Windows version of the game works. HD3000 is listed as unsupported for Mac version of the games (which is same as Linux).

You can donwload the free demo and check how well it runs.
