Is there a way to skip purchasing culture?
I have accumulated enough culture points to buy another social policy but I have the 5 branches I want all maxed out and I want to continue on playing the game.

Thanks for your help

In the advanced game settings select the option for "Allow policy saving" and just don't spend them when you are happy with what you got.

But I don't see why you wouldn't spend it. It's basically free stuff.

If you have all the policies you want and are getting more then just spend them. Even if you have all the best ones they will still help. It only takes a second to click it anyway :)

Why don't you just deactivate cultural victory ?

That doesn't affect the way selecting policies works. It doesn't even affect the effects of cultural influence, it just means a victory is not triggered when one civ becomes culturally influential over all the others.
