West vs East map type issues
So, I recently started a game on the West vs East map type. I used all the default settings, with the map size being set to Huge (so 12 civs plus 24 city-states). When the game started, my starting location was near the edge of the map, on the western side. Not a pretty good location, but I thought I could expand later on. Well, I quickly began exploring and meeting civs almost immediately. Now, by turn 90, I've met all other civs, and they're all on the same side of the map as me. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Shouldn't it be 6 civs per side? As it is right now, my side of the map is pretty crowded (since there's also a few city-states on my side as well); I barely managed to squeeze a second city between all the city spam the AI has been doing.

At this point, I very much feel like starting a new game, but I guess I'll just go full warmonger on their asses.

Start a new game, man You sure you want to go for Dom in a Huge map with 12 civs? You'll be playing the same map for 20 hours if not more. Assuming you're not playing on a super low difficulty. About the map type, I don't have much experience with it, sorry.
