Time it and while I don't really mod I don't know if there's an actual bowstring pull speed mod
Anyway, I am going to double check with other streams, if I manage to find some with the same bow upgrade level and same bow skill level.
What soft cap? Please read the wiki for further information on how skills work.

No, stop looking at streamers. Your gameplay is what matters here, not what some streamer has.
but good points. enjoyment of any game is highly personal and also includes a dose of patience. if u cant enjoy the journey, you wont enjoy the game.
good game.
and good to know about those draw times at high skill levels.
Thinking from a coder's point of view I would suspect the the combat difficulty modifier. It states that it tweaks the mob's stats as well as your dealt damage. The latter is the point in question, because the easiest way to achieve this AND explain your observations might be a hidden bonus to your combat skill levels on easier combat difficulty and a malus on the harder difficulty.
Just a hunch though, haven't actually tested this.
Edit: Found a wrong point myself - combat modifier does not affect mob stats, only your damage dealt and taken by description
Edit 2: Seems I was completely wrong about this. Just tried it with a stopwatch and my drawtime is the same on easiest and hardest combat.
I agree on the mod part. There is no way to tell whether or not the streamer uses a mod to reduce draw time and stamina cost and whatnot other than from observing abnormal gameplay.
Did check other streamers, yep, it seems related to that specific streamer, at that specific time... who now has "normal" bow draw time...
So mods or bugs (at any level, world modifiers, unity, OS, etc), dunno. But from now on, I'll stay alert on that matter while watching valheim streams.
93 bow skill, a machine gun indeed. How long to level up the bow until 90? (did not go thru all his vids... dunno in which one it does level up)
(I may try to do the same in my current run, that's why I watch streams, to get "ideas", we are a community after all)
That said, no fire hazard? x2 resource rate instead of x0.5? Not very vikink to me. This is not "perma death", it is "hardcore" (you still respawn in your bed with the same character). Maybe the devs will make "hardcore" death penalty a real perma death: character deletion and disconnection from the server/world map (you can re-create a new character which spawns at the map center though). I do play max difficulty: I do die often, I have near 0 stats all the time, I suspect I won't be able to play in later stages of the game if I die and lose my stats and armor then.
(careful, I got a valve ban warning for that kind of content post: it may be considered advertisement if somebody is making money in the loop, and this platform does, better post the vids on steam itself.).
If you use bows as a mainweapon you will reach a sufficient skilllevel pretty fast. If you still want to speed things up you have some options. But i think the natural progression is fine.
Step 1. Capture a golem with a harpoon and get it stuck somewhere where you want to grind. Have some earthwalls prepared where you wanted to entomb that little guy. Maybe somewhere flat where you want to grow trees for woodarrows too.
Step 2. Capture some greydwarf shamans with a harpoon and drag them into the golempit.
Step 3. Build a nice house around them where you have a campfire and workbench
Step 4. Build the mighty crude bow.
Step 5. Open the floor and shoot arrows down on the golem.
You can leftclick and immediatly release the arrows. They drop on the head of the golem and grant you your wish. Why the shamans you might ask? They are friendly to the golem and heal the little guy. Infinite torture. The shooting can be automated with a macro if you are lazy.
And like some other people mentioned. Killing greydwarfs, draugers or skeletons near spawners is an option too.
That streamer got an insane bug with a "popping" wraith right under his boat in the middle of the day: he died. Ofc he was playing immersive (not +), he lost all his stats and stuff. (Just a few days ago, got a "popping" greydwarf right on me while I was melee-ing a troll, I died ofc).
Yep, there are many issues with spawns in valheim.
bow skill 90 is impressive, but in immersive, one death, and bow skill level goes back to 0... so better have _very_ efficient wayS to level it up when you will really need it.
