If so, both the Bats and oozers/blobs raid events can start happening any time after you beat Bonemass, and last I checked Bats can happen in any biome while the oozers one happens in meadows, black forest, swamp and plains. Even if they aren't normally from that biome, the raid events can bring them there. (Edit: the bats event requires not just bonemass, ut for you to have killed a bat as well...a bit like the troll raid CAN happen after Elder, but only if you've also killed a troll).

Need to have a proper base design to protect yourself. The enemies will prioritize you so your best bet is to leave your base and fight them head on.
Although it is worth mentioning that some progression advancements do in fact spawn critters in weird places. Like after you beat the Elder, before you even visited a swamp the first time, you can encounter Draugr in the meadows during foggy nights (they despawn at dawn, a lot of these are night spawns that disappear at dawn, like you can also get fulings spawning in meadows at night after you've beaten Yagluth as well).
Build a coop with a roof for your chickens and bats will ignore them. Build the coop well within your compound to be safe from blobs. I think 4 large stone walls will prevent blobs from jumping over.
No on the draugr, at least from my experience. They occur in the Meadows naturally. If you see any, you're close to a Draugr Village, that's all. If it's early game, mark it on the map for future exploration and head back in the direction you came from.
That part is also true, you can just plain get draugr villages with their own spawning piles all over the place. I had such a hard time finding bees on my most recent seed to prep for swamp that i had to raid one of those villages to get mead set up. The night exclusive spawn i don't see super often, but i also sleep through most nights and not all nights are also foggy.
Yeah, I don't often go out at night period, but I hear a chorus of skeletons and grey dwarves going at it most nights, never hear the distinctive sounds of draugr. Haven't yet killed Yag, so no nighttime goblins yet. What kills me is I just had a foggy night back at my meadows base--watch me not get another one for eons. I'm super curious to see this spawn.
Tho I could probably just hop in a boat to generate fog, seems to work reliably. :)
