I can't buy this thing...

I was searching for a survival game that keeps me entertaining, but... when I watched some reviews of Valheim I always got one thought that came in my mind: It's 2024! I can't accept a game that looks & feels so clumsy in all its ways! Horrible!

Again - we have 2024! Not 1990!

Valheims graphics style is a deliberate design decission. If high fidelity graphics are all you are after and if you judge games just by that then stay away and don´t buy it.

The graphics don´t say anything about the quality of the game. Minecraft for example which without a question looks awful is the most successful game in the world.

Yes we have 2024. Thanks for the info. Now go and try to understand a project and the intentions behind it before you judge it and don´t be so shallow.

you are right, but as I said, it's not just the "graphics" - it simply feels clumsy. There is no love at all at that what can make a game appealing. So, it would be nice to not turn my words into something I didn't said.

I think that with a current player amount of close to 11K and a very high number of sales, many disagree with you. But if this is your opinion, so be it.

I wonder if the devs will ever recover from not making this one sale. The one sale they truly wanted. Out of the 12M who bought this game, the only one they were truly counting on was AlwaysFun, and now it's not gonna happen. They must be devastated...

I can see it feels clumsy! That is not hard to read after all the videos. And no I don't refer to graphics here. Watching the archery made me vomit almost. Same with the character walking badly over terrain and so on. That has nothing to do with graphics, that is clearly from the technical point of view. It looks like the 1st runescape. But yea, everyone his own opinion I would say, right?

Yes, I know, the game has made huge sales (in the past!!!) and the reviews are really good, but people's expectations have also fallen considering that so many people have bought Battlebit. ;) which is super crap, when it comes to an fps, for example! And this game here feels almost that cheaply done as battlebit. Not far from it! Even the user interface, all the "special FX" it's 1990!!!! Accept it! It might have the content you were searching for, but technically it's a JOKE! A big one even!
