Why cant i dig down in certain places?
For example i made an island my home and right on front of my front door i cant make the ground be lower because my pickaxe will hit the ground and the ground wont go anywhere, im even getting rocks from this, its just the ground that wont go lower

A screenshot may help, but that doesn't sound right. Once you've reached the bottom you shouldn't be getting stones anymore.

There is a limit how deep you can dig down ( or terraform in the high) .When you reach this point you can't go deeper or raise the ground higher.
Maybe build your door on another side when you get blocked only at one place ? Can also be you need to raise the whole ground a bit up or build your home on beams.

Im not even at the bottom! I am just above sea level, i'd say about two stone tiles worth, above sea level

Edit: here you go, not sure what good it will do

I have the infinite height mod so i shouldnt be limited by that, not to mention that i can dig far down around this spot so i have no clue

I solved the problem. Heightmap unlimited has separate settings for both up and down terraforming now, and in the past i set it to max height and i didnt know they added a setting for minimum height aswell, therefore the mod was limiting me. I set that to -200 and it works now

No need to be nasty. What you described made no sense so I asked for more information to try to understand. You're the one asking for help and not even mentioning that you're using a mod.

Next time you ask people to spend time fixing your issue make sure to provide all the relevant information upfront.

If you think i was nasty with that, then your standards for whats nasty are out of whack

And if you think it's OK to ask for help without mentioning that you play with a mod that modifies how deep you can dig then your expectations are out of whack.
lets keep the discussion civil. critique the game, not each other.
