Surtling core

do they regenerate in burial chambers? i am only finding 1 in each chamber in the black forest

No they won't respawn but the number you find is totally random - it's possible to find a dozen or more in one Chamber - you've just been unlucky so far, keep looking.

You can farm them. In the swamp you may come across fire spouts. These spawn enemies that drop cores and coal. A trick to them is use the pickaxe and dig around the spout. the mobs have low health and die instantly in water. make em spawn in shallow water up to your ankle and bam, core and coal farm.

Sometimes I find zero. But on average, I get 4-6 per chamber. Make sure you're finding every door and side passage, they can sometimes be hard to see. More than once I thought I had an empty dungeon only to notice an unopened door leading to a room with 4 or more. Torches help a lot.

Another tip is you only really need 5 total. You can demolish your kiln & smelter to switch back and forth as needed. Portals are another matter, but they can still be recycled.

And without spoiling too much, you can get unlimited cores from swamps...

Surtling cores (and indeed everything in dungeons) will not respawn AFAIK.

The mushrooms will, i believe. The rest will not

Had 0-15 cant even say whats average, I guess 5. Most time you have 3-4

Btw later you farm them these way
