Make sure your inventory is completely empty so that when you activate your gravestone you auto pick up everything. Trolls are slow. Get his attention, bait him away from your corpse, then double back before he can reach you.

In both cases, good options are setting them on fire or pushing them down a big hole.

Also they don't swim good.

I'm no dad, but my childhood was Quake. Anyways, I suggest luring it away somehow. Throw a spear or shoot arrows to get it after you, run some distance using obstacles like trees and boulders to slow it down, then run back to your grave and quickly hit the "Take All" button.

I'm a 'quake dad' as well if the term means I grew up on quake and am a dad.
I fail to see the issue with the trolls in valheim though?
I mean, the trolls on the forums are way op with no weakness and too much regen but in game?

I've only been killed by a troll once in 200 hours. Fully upgraded 3 sets of troll armor from their skins for backups if I die elsewhere and need to put on clothes for a corpse run.

Trolls are easy to avoid as they broadcast their attacks so dang clearly and are SLOOOOWWWW.

They also can't see very well if you sneak.

I don't know why but Valheim recreates a lot of the feel of very early online games
