There is no Jormungandr. There's serpents and leviathans which you mine for chitin.
And as for the OP I don't believe they respawn in the same spot, once it goes down you'll have to sail and find another one
After how long did this Leviathan come back if I may ask? We are 2 irl days further and it still not back :(
once they are deep enough... they just despawn totally
there is small chance that new leviathan spawns in the same spot tho
but I wouldn't bet on this ;d
I just assumed that the islands were upper coils of Jörmungandr breaking the surface. Nothing else really made any sense to me.
I mean I might we'll be wrong I don't know for sure it's the same one, it just spawned in pretty much the same place. Almost every time I sail that way it's there sitting waiting patiently for me to jump on, I just haven't the need to go back yet :/
they are leviathans actually
both their code and their name in game is leviathan ;D
kraken is more squid-like and isn't in game :V
They do for me, but it takes days. I found this out by always marking leviathan spots and when returning weeks later (ingame time) they had spawned on the exact spot of the marker.
