However I still suggest making it, its a game and making bronze you may just upgrade and put away is still worth, worth the fun (or grind) to earn and upgrade.
Put it away, and if you feel you need it... its in your treasure vaults, waiting for the king...
In short you are the Viking king in Valheim, even if it dont make sense, you want it and no enemy will stop you adding it to your vaults, take and win, its all yours.
You might be 10% slower when wearing it, but you won't be moving that much anyway as you're mostly just dodging and blocking.
Leather armors might be light to move in, but they don't offer enough armor for melee combat imo. They're more fitting for archery where you're kiting the enemies around which requires mobility.
Also the troll armour doesn't slow you down (meaning more stamina saved) and has a nice little set bonus. Looking back it probably could have lasted me through Bonemass but iron is a big defensive upgrade. Iron is also a lot quicker to farm and smelt compared to bronze once you find just one or two good swamps.
However I would say skip the bronze and use troll armor . Then make iron armor . You could skip that too and just use the shield + iron mace . Depends on how tanky you want to be .
Also end game armor uses iron so you risk wasting iron if you make fully upgraded iron armor.
(3 items for 1 bar). They should really make it so you get 2-3 bronze from 2 copper/1 tin since the volume would be the same.
You'll be forced to make metal armors past bronze because there's no alternative.
Might as well make the most of the troll armor when you still have the alternative. You'll probably accumulate troll hides and craft it anyway.
Plus it's a pain to farm bronze and you'll need bronze / copper even in late game for forges, base interior and so on.
