And it is pretty amazing fyi. Anyone touched on this one before? Got some incredible features. Very nicely distributed Meadow biome. Stretches way out to nearly to the outside ring(s). Many great locations, tips of islands, etc. Really good stuff. Eager to look at it in game, tbh.
Just now tried the word 'Santa', weirdly also nice. Grouped islands, large land masses. Lots of land.
We really didn't need boats other than for some odd reason we had no swamps or plains. All the islands we sail too have little spots of meadow or forest but mostly are swamp/plains. It was a real pain to sail around so we had to make several harbors with ships depending on which way someone was going. Makes moving metals back to main base a chore some days..
Your map is much more ship friendly. Given the choice I like yours better.
Seed is
Irongate
Have been playing that seed for weeks actually LOL
that baby patch of BF just at spawn is truly bizarre. And the strip of Black forest along the meadow coast, utterly lacking any features. Strange, wonder if it's full of 'unguarded' copper nodes, pines groves, blue berry patches, etc? and a 4 pixel strech/patch just southE of spawn. Good stuff, so strange, be cool to see what it actually looks like.
And finally? wow, the super strange inverted mountain zone to the east. Meadow, and BF inside a ring of Alpine... wow
That area would make for a super BA fort..... super... BBAAAAAAA OP train style. within the ring are 2 stone houses, a stone tower, and a crypt. unbelievable. That kinda just made me realize what I may be ACTUALLY looking for. Without having known it.
Thats about the best you could EVER hope to find in-game. In terms of natural protection, for the 'least' labor.... thanks for the epiphany.
this is likely as close to impregnable i think the game has.
That seed has been passed around for a while now and considered a "speed seed" since all the biomes and ALMOST all the bosses are walking distance from spawn.
I am currently playing the much harder seed Irongate where everything is very spread out and requires sailing and exploring numerous islands and land masses.
dont recall if I had seen that before. Changes things for me. Only thing off the top of my head that could improve upon this natural positioning, is a river, or canal. Some type of port/water access. The ambitious might drive a canal from around woodhouse10 out to doleman01. The truly ambitious may drive it amidst the tiny mountain arm south into the meadow river valley. a protected, reinforced port causeway. ending in both east and west ocean access. Remarkable, indeed.
Did you just happen to discover this seed or did you see me post this a while back on one of the seed threads? LOL I discovered / posted it a couple weeks ago, it seems
(Then elder was near the edge of the map next to plains)
Sorry, happened upon it a couple weeks ago myself. Using that world generator site I've looked at dozens and dozens of seeds using random numbers and words, my kids names, sports team names, names of other games I have and sometimes their studio or publisher names.
There's nothing new under the sun as the saying goes.
But, one I did find that is ESPECIALLY unique. It has 'the' ring fort land feature. It is all Black Forest. AND it has a TRADER SPAWN INSIDE THE RING!. Quite rare and unique indeed!
It would take some special maneuvering to 'force' the trader to spawn there. But easy enough. You could have a super-fortress, WITH a permanent link to the TRADER, INSIDE your Citadel. Simply remarkable, tbh. I can only imagine how cool this map could be. Just depending some on the actual land features, on the 'virtual ground'.
I have begun to favor the idea of the ring-fort seed have a bit of Plains in the ring. While I don't know the art assets by heart enough to judge if the objects are what I am hoping for. One of the seeds I rolled had a RockHendge3 feature inside the ring, crossing my fingers it's one of the rock pillars!
While the mobs maybe higher tier, the payoff could be one of the enormous rock pillars in the center of the mountain-ring-impregnable-citadel-fortress-island place... :)
so empty seed.
i sadly had to stop cause i died once.
i can really recommend it, i had a blast on it. its not a fast seed.
Also the starter island is the largest I've ever seen. It is like 4 big land masses tied together. With other very large masses scattered through-out.
Truly, this is a Troll-Hunters dream! not seen anything, anywhere near as populated with Troll Caves as this seed. I'm keeping it for later use.
Further, I just found one for anyone who is foot adventurist. Meaning that essentially no edge or land spot can't be simply walked to, or to swim to each adjoining island. Literally almost no edge, or area unreachable by foot/swim.

Ton of Black Forest on the initial island with like 3 or so mountains and then to the near east there is a massive swamp with like 12+ crypts and 8 or so surtling spawns. Made a portal in a tower that I took over in the middle of the swamp so I could easily transfer non metals to the nearby black forest where I built my base with forge / kiln.
Currently working on silver.
