Break Down Crafted Items

I think it would be cool if we could break down crafted items back it some of the elements it was crafted from. if you made something you regret you can atleast get something back or break down a bunch of old gear into other resuable thing

Have you tried to place a workbench, then middle mouse button ?
You get all the rescources, even if the building is a world gen one... all the stuff.

ahh shizer, you mean old tools and stuff, yeah sorry its not a thing.

I think it would be better if you could use old crafts to save on new stuff, but generally I keep old stuff in a chest for corpse runs.

sorry I more meant like sheilds and armor you craft

That would just make it so Ores could be transported through portals. Craft the item, go through, break it down, boom. Teleported ore.

even if it wasnt a 1 to 1 exchange I think it would be good, I have a small group and we all crafted full sets of gear and would be fun to trash some of our old gear and make some random other items we wouldnt normall make because of the cost

Dismantling items would currently be a way to get around teleporting ores/metal, with almost no weight restriction.

You mean instead of loading a new seed and just dumping your crap in a box?

maybe even making trophies breakable as well sense I legit just dig a hole and drop all of them in it waiting for the to despawn
