Report a translation problem
I dont remember when the game saves, but if your latest world was broken, you checked into it saw that it was, then quit it, maybe the quitting woukd trigger a new save which would overwrite your backup. Dont know if it could happen like that but it makes sense to me.
I hope this kind of bug will soon be fixed
I built the game world on my_PC with my_account
My kids play with me on kids_PC with kids_account
I accidentally ran the game on my_PC with kids_account
Later on I ran the game on my_PC with my_account and was sad to see that:
The game world got reset to some weird state from many days before. (so are the other worlds that I do not play with my kids)
First time It happened I blamed myself for not seeing steam cloud old/new update override message. But this is the second time it happened and there was no steam/game message of any kind.
Now I have to explaining to the kids that their work on a game world is destroyed... again :(
