'E' key doesn't interact with fermentor

I can't seem to interact with the fermentor. The 'E' key works with everything else though. If I put a mead on my hotbar, then it will go into the fermentor. But once it is ready, I can't get it out at all. The 'E' key doesn't interact to remove the brewed potions. There is no way for me to retrieve anything I make in the fermentor. I've already re-validated my files, the only other option is to uninstall and reinstall to see if that works, but haven't done that yet.

Its possible that you might be out of range or the game thinks you are out of range. Try interacting with it at different angles and position.

You do realize that you have to wait like 2 in game days for your brew to be ready?

It does give a message like still fermenting.

Yes I do know that I have to wait. I use a mod that shows it is done, 100%. I can't interact with the fermentor at all with any keys. To load in the mead, I had to put it on my hotbar, then it went in. The 'E' key doesn't work with the fermentor, but works with everything else.

I tried every different angle to access the fermentor with the 'E' key. Just doesn't work. Only way to put something in it as I stated, was to put it on my hotbar, then it will go in. But after it is finished brewing and ready to be retrieved, I can't access it no matter what angle I'm at. It just does not interact. Chests, forge, workbench, cauldron, etc all work with the 'E' key, just not the fermentor.

Could be the Mod messing with it, why have a mod tell you when its done?

I had this problem before the mod. The mod just tells me the % done. But way before I even got that mod, I still couldn't access the fermentor with the 'E' key.

I haven't actually got a fermentor yet but is it possible the items need a space on your hotbar and you don't have an empty slot? Noticed you said you needed to put the raw ingredients on your hotbar to load them in

No, I made the mead in the cauldron. Then you are suppose to go to the fermentor and hit 'E' to load the mead into it. But it doesn't work for me. Now if I put the mead on my hotbar, then it will go into the fermentor, but I just can't remove it once it is ready.

Sounds like your fermentor is bugged. You don't have to put the mead base in the hotbar to load it in the fermentor, just have it in your inventory. Try loading the game with zero mods and see if that helps. If not you may have to dismantle and re-build the fermentor which could cause you to lose whatever mead was ready. Maybe ask a friend to jump in the game and try to access it before you dismantle and re-build? That probably won't work, but it might be worth a shot if you really want to save that batch of mead.

Well, I just deleted and re-installed the game. Put each mod back in and now it works.

Just FYI in case you need to do this again in the future - Steam's Verify Files option is much faster and just as effective as deleting and reinstalling.

I did do a verify first, but that didn't fix the problem. Also, verify files doesn't always fix a problem, I've had situations with other games that I had to complete remove the game, delete the game file folder, then re-install for it to fix the problem.
