I want to buy this game and read the lyrics while going into a fight, because some of my friends told me that the songs have a meaning behind them and tell you about the characters, but sadly, I don't understand japanese

Yeah, but I kinda wanted to be able to read what they say while I play the game, I don't know, it kinda felt like it's part of the game and I will be missing out

Learn Japanese then, it is the only solution. Or maybe ask one of your friends to be a translator if they know Japanese.

Did you see any game which displays lyrics for songs during the battle or world exploration? It will be confusing instead of helping. It is just a background song, not a dialogue or intro movie. You won't miss out on anything as everything will be explained in the story, later for extra involvement if you want you can watch those clips on youtube.
