But I suggest listening to them after playing the game. They and especially some comments and video descriptions can spoil some character developments.
Did you see any game which displays lyrics for songs during the battle or world exploration? It will be confusing instead of helping. It is just a background song, not a dialogue or intro movie. You won't miss out on anything as everything will be explained in the story, later for extra involvement if you want you can watch those clips on youtube.
