Still doing my Female playthrough, but haven't noticed any major story divergence based on gender so far. Just visual changes like redoing the animated segments. Since you could be anyone behind the character, its more a player preference.
I compare these two games alot, but its not like Persona 3 Portable where the added female protaganist got a personality, different romatic options, and some story divergences. At least from what I've seen so far.
as a male... you're not going in unless the bit before entering the women side is nothing but a farce to pad time in.
fortunately, this scene is waaayyyy down on the lewd scale. not only is thre nothing to see, even the animated cutscene doesn't show anything
