I've waited since Satomi Tadashi teased he was working on something though. I do feel that this is heavily niche, since the target audiences are kinda small (SMT fans and VOCALOID fans). Personally excited! I kinda felt like it'll get slammed but I'm here for the ride, if I don't like it then so be it. But as of right now a game written by Satomi Tadashi filled to the brim with talented VOCALOID producers is a must buy for me. Very rare intersection of interest, but it makes me wonder why the western PR never really mentioned the producers working on the music much
Anyway buying on Day 1 if possible, people laughed at me when I wanted it localized then laughed when I hoped it would be on PC. Feeling pretty vindicated
Well, i have 250 hours in Dragon Age Inquisition and think its a great game, so....
In the end its always about personal taste.
And I completed that game and think that it was complete waste of time and money based on hype so... ye
But I was shocked by how harshly worded RPGsite's was. I usually really trust them, but the review felt really mean-spirited and hellbent on hating it from the start?
At least they mentioned Persona only 1 time in Caligula.... ah well.
Edit: nvm, I checked other reviews as well, I never read reviews for other games before. All of them mentions another game in their review 2-4 times totaly professional.
The only real concern, is that if the port is good enough.
I agree with this. Review sites are mostly worthless. Some of them don't even know how to play games and others reviewers seem to think they are engaged in a literary criticism exercise.
If you consider artwork and music to be a factor in whether you enjoy a game, how can anyone presume to tell you whether you will like some particular piece of art or music?
When it comes to the technical aspects, the post release steam reviews and discussions in the forums here will tell you more than any game review site.
I've already played through the game and can confirm that the port was pretty solid - definitely the best NISA port I have played. No crashes, frame issues, etc.
Seriously? thats good then, ill pick it up when its out then, I was worried about the port being bad.
