Constant Crashes

Hey guys I just purchased the game and I cannot go more than 20 minutes with some action crashing the game. Usually when moving a unit and just a flat crash to desktop

Vanilla game , 4090

ur gonna have to try and recreate, do a step by step, record and share ur diaxdiag info for someone to help.

Try and run it with internet off. If it doesn't crash your firewall or anti-virus is the problem.

If it still crashed though: v
Refund. If it's happening that early there's no way to fix it. Refund if you can.

Yea I did all the support loops but they cant figure it out even wish crash logs.

This is an interesting point , I do have Sentinel One anti virus but im not getting any hits from it

I'm having the same issue with crashes, just randomly, and then sometimes i cant even launch the game anymore, have to restart computer completely. Only started happening with last update

If yours happened after last update, it's possible that validating your games files will solve your issue. Some times the steam updates will mess with files. That's assuming you were on vanilla game.

If you used a mod(s) then you might have to reinstall all of your mods too. It's easy if you got 'em all from the workshop. Good luck if ya didn't though. Sometimes the steam updates will ♥♥♥♥ with the mod files too. If that don't work THEN try validating and just hope it didn't corrupt or perma damage the game save file.

If there's mods involved it's very important to disable them and see if the vanilla version of the game still crashes or not.

The last official update to the game was 2021.

No mods , and its actually every total war game somehow. Yet every other game I play is fine. Im wondering if they way they do something is interfering with anti virus or drivers

If that's the case then it's likely an incompatibility issue. The possibilities are endless though so I'm not even gunna try and guess. you may be out of luck outside of filing a support ticket with the devs. They'll be able to identify what's causing the issue.

Appreciate the response , I did and after several logs they said it’s random which sucks

Only game in my entire library that does it
