Rome Total Realism: Imperium Surrectum
WOW... what an awesome mod!
I would even pay money if someone made a mod like that for Total War: Napoleon!!!
I wonder why Creative can't do something like that?!

It is amazing. For me (as a more casual gamer) it became a bit overwhelming though. Almost too much detail and the turn times are horrendous. I wish they had been more limited in scope, especially given the engine they had to work with. That said I have always been a fan of the team and admire their dedication and skill. And, most importantly, I am glad you are enjoying it!

p.s. desperate to see an empire remake also
I know! The mods on this game are brilliant. A lot of full conversions and nearly all of them a lot of work. Coulda made real money if they'd made their own games.

It's so amazing that i wish it stopped crashing at around 100 turns.

AND

That they were able to finish more factions.

Playing as germanic/celts hurts when looking at how good the greek factions their models/textures look.

A lot of them are out of date abandonware now but if anyone wanted to continue updating them I don't think anyone would complain >: ]

The problem I had with the mod is too many settlements to have to manage, even at the start. Last I tried the Romans had what? 35 at the start?

Settlements to have to manually take care of because I have zero trust in leaving them managed by the AI in any TW game.

Even on the original RTW it gets tedious to get through the turns once you have gotten large enough. IS takes that to the umpteenth level.

Also with all the settlements all close to each other, which can't be helped due to the sheer amount of them, it seemed every fight was a siege.

When playing Roma, do you have build the three archer ranges and all five of the recruit buildings to start building the siege equipment buildings on the 0.6.7 update and no it is not the beta.

Siege equipment has temporarily been removed ( few versions back i think ? ) as it was causing issues but i think it will get added back at some point.
it crashes a lot, but otherwise it is awesome, though I would like united scythia, but that is my personal issue with all overhauls, since unlike with germans and gauls there is serious academical debate about the level of scythian unity and royal authority , and I personally am on the side which thinks there was a scythian empire
edit: I personally don't mind the settlement clutter, I feel like having to plot out roads across tons of regions, or being able to fortify river crossings and bridges, really adds an additional layer of strategical depth and logistics, and the distance and the recruitment system add logistical depth to replenishment

I can't get any of the mods to work. It always crashes with the error "culture "hun" not fund"

If you state which mods you're trying, someone else may be able to help you.
