Just because we were used to playing the game "the right way", doesn't mean this stuff never existed before the rerelease. But yeah, the compensation mechanic needs to be completely removed because i just don't see how it can be implemented in a way that's not exploitable. How do you even calculate the value of "past grievances" without just attaching arbitrary values to every hostile action that can be taken in the game?
Rome 4 is obviously the superior piece.
