How the heck do I load subscription mods??

How the heck do I load subscription mods?? Or even mod downloads from other sites? I click on PLAY, and no subscriptions show up...now what?

What?? I've owned almost every Steam version of (and CDs) Total War games since the beginning. Owned Rome and Alex for years. So go pound sand fella. I seldom use game mods, so I'm no expert on how they load into games. And there's little info on how to do so. So again, go pound sand fella. And "no mouse next to my name". LOL, so what??

The mouse next to your name denotes that you own the game. Maybe your privacy settings are the reason the mouse icon doesn't show even if you own Total War Rome Remastered .

So you've Subscribed to 1 or more mods on Total War Rome Remastered Workshop ?
If so launch the game, you'll get a Feral window and at the top of that a Mods section that's where you "check" the mod you want to activate.

Thank you Iceni. That got me into the game's downloaded subscribed to mods. And yes, my privacy settings blocks the mouse next to any Steam game I own...all 132 of them! :-D

Hold CTRL when launching the game, this will force the "pre-game window options" to open. There you can choose between RTW, BI, Alexander and mods for them. Turn ON the option to "always show this dialog".

Ah ok i didn't know the 1st part.
However i just assumed as he was talking about loading Subscribed mods for Rome Remastered.
All my Rome 1 mods were manually installed as no Steam workshop for OG Rome.
