Go to your Library/Games right click on Rome Remastered, go to Properties, click on Updates, select Automatic Updates, game should Update to latest version. Hope it helps.

You might also want to check the betaversion tab. There was an option to run 2.0.3 for people who had problems with 2.0.4.

I haven't problem running game, but I'm in doubt if it updated 2.0.4 at all.

BTW my TW launcher show SAGA TROY updated to 1.6.2, but I hear Troy already have 1.7.0.

Right click on RR/Properties/Updates.
You should see an App ID Number
Build ID Number
And a date when last patch was installed on.
What are you showing for those ?

When you launch the game and the Feral Window opens up at the bottom it also lists what build you're on, mine is showing 2.0.4 so if the OP has info he should be on same version.

I have the same issue, launcher says 2.0.3 and i have several unplayable bugs that only manifested about 15 hours into the game, meaning steam wont refund me.

My launcher also says 2.0.3 but when I click play and the Feral launcher opens it says 2.0.4.

Actually there was a Patch last night, now on v2.0.5.
Have you tried verifying your game files ?
Have you set the game to Automatically update ?
